About the Author

Author Photo
Tania's first grade teacher accused her of being "off with the fairies". It's true. Sometimes she brings back a story.
Born in Sydney's western suburbs, Tania now calls the wild and gothic island of Tasmania home. A former Disney animator and recovering illustrator, she's usually found either rollerskating or writing, though never both at the same time... yet. She collects weird conifers and satisfyingly round stones, is held together mainly by an intricate scaffolding of planners and ADHD medication, and is utterly in the thrall of her cloud-shaped dog.
Tania writes fantasy and science fiction, both adult and YA. You can find her stories in Lightspeed, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, PodCastle, Aurealis, Reckoning and more, and she has pieces upcoming in Clarkesworld and Reactor. She is a graduate of Odyssey and Clarion West, and recently earned a Doctorate in Creative Writing.
