About the Author
Tania Fordwalker's first grade report card decried her as being "off with the fairies". This is both fair and true, but on the upside, she occasionally comes back with a story.
Born in the Western Suburbs of Sydney in 1982, Tania has ricocheted up and down the east coast of Australia ever since. She now calls two islands home: the gothic and mysterious Tasmania, and cheerful little subtropical Macleay Island off the Queensland coast. A former Disney animator and recovering illustrator, she's usually found either rollerskating or writing, though never both at the same time... yet. She is working on a PhD in Creative Writing centred around shifting representations of sexuality in modern reimaginings of Pride and Prejudice. Her dog is cuter than your dog, sorry.
Tania writes lyrical fantasy, science fiction, and speculative fiction. Her stories have appeared in Lightspeed, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, PodCastle, Aurealis, Reckoning and more, and her first novel is under representation with Valerie Noble of Donaghy Literary Group. She is slated to attend Clarion West and Odyssey in 2022.
